How can theories of practice shed light on the propagation of disinformation? This was the central question that Johanna Muhrbeck investigated in her PhD thesis at the Swedish Defense University.

On Friday, 11th, I had the pleasure to discuss the thesis as the ‘opponent’ during the public defense. We discussed how Ted Schatzki’s theory of practice can be used in empirical research and what fascinating messy and organic account of disinformation can be developed from there.
